I have been working a lot which has been cutting into my blogging time… not to mention the 10 days I just spent in Waikiki visiting one of my very best friends!

Luckily, I found some time on this sunny Sunday to share this recipe with you – it’s definitely a new go-to recipe for me. It is so incredibly delicious with a bright lemon flavour.

If I could offer only one piece of advise when it comes to nutrition it would be this: choose foods with simple ingredient lists, or better yet no ingredient list at all!

I attended the Vancouver Wellness Show this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised with the number of products being sampled that had simple ingredients without all the additives and chemicals. Three products in particular stood out to me that I would like to highlight.

1. Flaxseed Cooking oil

Eat fatty fish twice a week.

Sound familiar?

Well it’s good advise (ensure you choose sustainable options), and salmon isn’t your only choice. Mackerel, herring and sardines are also great options. I love sardines but if they aren’t you’re thing¬† you can replace the sardines with canned or fresh, chopped salmon.

If you are vegetarian/vegan, make sure you include good sources of plant based omega 3 fats in your diet: flaxseeds, walnuts and chia seeds are great options!
